Today I discovered that 5:00 am is WAY too early to get up
when you’re on vacation. After waking up we ate breakfast and headed out to the
Blue Ridge Parkway. It was an AMAZING drive! There where trees everywhere that
were changing colors and carpeting the earth in leaves. It took us about five
hours to get through that and then we headed over to Skyline Drive in
Shenandoah National Park.
I was amazed at the
views that we were able to see. We were also able to see some of the native
wildlife.
We got about half way through Skyline when we headed over to
our friends, The Mervin’s house. When we
arrived they gave us the best surprise ever! They had made us a Phantom of the
Opera cake and decorated their dining room all Phantom of the Opera like. We
finally got to sleep at about 1:00 in the morning. We are having SO MUCH
FUN!!!!
